I love the Qur'an,

I wanted to think of some eloquent and tactful way to describe the way it makes me feel, but there is no point in complicating somehting so... simple.

Just like Allah SWT says that in His rememberance do the hearts of the believers find... the arabic word is Tutma'in, which means a feeling of compete safety and security. Like no one can touch you, like Allah SWT has sent down this Qur'an and it has been perserved since it's revelation just so you can be here and now, reading it, or listening to it, or whatever. What can make you feel more.... special.

Just like Allah SWT says in Surat Ar-Rahman, He has made it easy to remember. I find if I hear the same suras recited a few times my mind just retains the info, even though I have made no effort at all to memorise it. Subhan Allah.

After you listen to it, your world is changed, adjusted. I feel more calm, I feel that no problem is too big to handle or too stressful. As long as I'm alive and Muslim, and I'm free to worship Allah SWT then it's all good, alhamdolillah. Even if you are stressed or worried about something, Qur'an reminds you that help is only a Dua away, and not help from your parents or from a friend, but help from the All Powerful, the one that can grant anything with a thought from Him.

After that what can worry you? What can stress you out? What can make you feel sad or alone or helpless when you have The Most Merciful. Not only that He has said, in clear arabic, "ASK OF ME AND I WILL RESPOND TO YOU". Really, what more can we ask for? After that the only thing that matters to you is the pleasure of Our Lord, everything else in your life gets the volume turned down....

wassalams All.

65:2-3 "...and whosoever fears Allah, He will create for him an exit (from his burdens), and will give to him from sources he could never imagine. And whosoever puts his trust in Allah then He will suffice him. Truly, Allah is well aware of his situation. Allah has made for all things a set measure."

Qur'an 14:34
"...And He gives you of everything that you ask..."
